ASPIRE Program

Program Services

Students must apply to participate in ASPIRE Program/Student Support Services. Applications are accepted each semester until the last day of the mid-term week.  Applications are available in our office. Once accepted into the program, students are eligible to take part in a number of activities designed to contribute to student success.  Services include:  Tutoring, Counseling/Advising, and Cultural Enrichment/Seminars.

Tutoring

One-on-one peer tutoring sessions in the core curriculum are generally offered two hours per week per course.  Tutoring sessions are scheduled based on course demands of the student and tutor as well as scheduling compatibility.  Students must be enrolled in ASPIRE/Student Support Services in order to receive tutoring.

Counseling/Advising

The program offers personal, academic, career, financial aid, and graduate school counseling to help students meet individual goals.  We consider these components of ASPIRE/Student Support Services essential to the overall success of our students.

 Cultural Enrichment Activities and Seminars

These special programs are also an important part of our services. These events give students opportunities to participate in activities as diverse as recognition ceremonies, financial aid workshops, etiquette luncheons, graduate school workshops, various study skills seminars, and other group events.
