Introduction

We hope this book will make your life easier at Montevallo. In it you will find information that will ease your way through the system. It tells you how to discover new interests and friends and how to get help when needed. This book also contains a copy of the Student Conduct Code, the rules by which you and the University live. Read the Code to find out your rights and responsibilities as a member of the Montevallo community.

For Your Information

The University of Montevallo’s mascot is “Freddie the Falcon.” A falcon’s offspring is called a fledgling, hence the name of this student handbook, The Fledgling.
