
Michele (Mickey) Bunn is Associate Professor of Business at the Michael E. Stephens College of Business at the University of Montevallo. She holds a B.A. and M.B.A. from Michigan State University and a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Bunn’s areas of research include business-to-business marketing, organizational buying behavior, industry analysis, stakeholder relationships and most recently - a new stream of research on "information literacy." Her research and consulting experiences are drawn from several sectors of the economy: automotive, transportation, chemicals, medical, and non-profits. She was an active member of the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (an industry trade group) for over seven years and an executive member of the US DOT's Transportation Safety Advisory Group for over 5 years. Her research appears in numerous trade publications and journals including the Journal of Marketing, the International Journal of Research in Marketing, the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, the Journal of Business Research, the Journal of Business-to-Business Marketing, and Industrial Marketing Management.
At the University of Montevallo, Dr. Bunn teaches in the undergraduate program (principles of marketing, marketing communications, professional selling, strategic marketing) and in the MBA program (marketing management). Previously, Dr. Bunn served as Project Director at the Center for Business and Economic Research at the University of Alabama. She was also on the faculty at the University of Alabama, and before that, at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
