Dr. Connell is an Associate Professor of Business in the Stephens College of Business at the University of Montevallo. He holds a DBA in Finance from Louisiana Tech University, has passed the CPA exam, and teaches CPA review classes for the Becker Professional Review. Prior to joining the University of Montevallo, Dr. Connell taught at Shorter University and Mercer University, including approximately ten years working with non-traditional students in night classes. He has also traveled to Hong Kong and Taiwan to teach week-long non-traditional classes for Southeastern University and taught as an adjunct for Judson College, Louisiana Tech University, and Troy State University. His teaching and research interests include the fields of both Finance and Accounting. Dr. Connell enjoys commuting to campus on his motorcycle, ballroom dancing, and the opportunity to travel between semesters. In past years, he has been known to perform standup comedy.
