Compliance Certification
Responsibilities of the Readiness Audit Team
- Conduct an institutional
analysis to check for compliance with the Core Requirements and the
Comprehensive Standards
- Identify initial
evidence to support each Core Requirement and Comprehensive Standard
- Assign specific
assignments to staff and faculty, not on the Readiness Audit Team, who have
been identified as having responsibility for a particular area addressed in
a specific Core Requirement or Comprehensive Standard
- Certify the quality and
integrity of the data and information
- Conduct the analysis of
compliance to ascertain extent of compliance and submit findings to the
Leadership Team
- Evolve into the
compliance certification team following the completion of the Readiness
Audit
Our Progress To Date
- Committee Chairs, SACS
Liaison, President, and VP for Academic Affairs attended SACS Annual Meeting
in December 2007 – considered possible compliance audit models
- Convened SACS Leadership
Team in January 2008 – discussed role of the Readiness Audit Team and
planned committee member selection/solicitation process; directed the roster
through appropriate channels for review
- Convened the Readiness
Audit Team in April 2008 – discussed audit process and procedures, committee
responsibilities, and general assignments
- Committee Chairs and
SACS Liaison attended the SACS Commission on Colleges Summer Institute for
Quality Enhancement
- Readiness Audit Team
held their first meeting of the Academic year on September 24 where
Standards and Core Requirements were assigned to Team
