Overview

A new falcon logo was designed in late summer 2004 to coincide with the opening of the Robert M. McChesney Student Activity Center. The mark features a falcon in the “attack mode” with wings outstretched and talons ready for the strike. A mascot mark, a word mark and a design featuring the head of the falcon are also part of UM’s new logo package.

Usage

The falcon logo, which is registered with a national licensing firm, may be used for promotional items, letterhead, envelopes, business cards, certificates and other documents within the athletic department. The design will be used on such publications as media guides, rosters, schedule cards, posters, match guides, etc. The icons are trademarked and written approval is necessary before they may be reproduced. For licensing and usage inquiries, please contact the P.R. Office at 205-665-6230.

Reproduction

Three colors were used in the logo designs: PMS 267 (purple), PMS 123 (gold) and black. The design may be printed in black and white and the image may be reversed. A style and usage guide is available from the Public Relations Office, Station 6230, University of Montevallo, Montevallo, AL 35115.
