Brandon Christian, Game Studies and Design Workshop II student, has won an online game-design challenge. He was selected as a winner for the design contest hosted by GameCareerGuide, a nationally recognized website for game design. Once every two weeks the site posts a design challenge and game designers from all over the world compete. The following students recently represented the University of Montevallo as performers at the Alabama Music Educators Association (AMEA) Conference, held in mid-January: Stephen Bass, Daniel Birdsong, Grayson Brane, Dakota Bromley, Brittany Chavarria, Sarah Commer, Ethan Cowart, Danielle Davis, Allison Evans, Michael Harrison, Lindsay Hodgins, Emily Hoekenga, Kim Hull, Skylar King, Alex Kovalsky, Kristain Latta, Jessica Light, Katie Long, Julia Maloney, Andrew McGinnis, Gerald McKisseth, Emily Merrill, Ashley Mims, Kayle Mitchell, Ali Pichelmayer, Katie Rogers, Susan Sabia, Vincent Schneider, Michael-Paul Smith, Lorilyn Thompson and Kourtney Tigner.

The following students recently represented the University of Montevallo as performers in a concert at the Southeastern Trumpet Festival, held in mid-January in Athens, Ga.: Ethan Cowart, Skylar King, Julia Maloney, Emily Merrill, Jackson Miller, Kevin Kierspe and Vincent Schneider.
