• Wednesday Memo will take a sabbatical for the summer, but we want faculty and staff to continue to submit their news, as well as news about their students, throughout the summer months to kennedyd@montevallo.edu. We will continue to share accomplishments with the media throughout the summer. In addition, we plan to include news in the UM People and Student Accolades section in the first issue of the fall semester, which will be published Aug. 28.
• Deans’ Council will meet Wednesday, April 24, from 3:30-5 p.m., in the Calkins Hall boardroom.
• Dead days (no tests or examinations) will take place Thursday, April 24, and Friday, April 25.
• Friday, April 26, will be the last day for students to drop courses.
• Friday, April 26, will be the last day for students to withdraw from the University.
• The course evaluation period will end Friday, April 26.
• Online undergraduate researchers’ assessment forms are due by 5 p.m., Friday, April 26.
• The UCSC will meet Friday, April 26, from 2-4 p.m., in the Merrill Room, Reynolds Hall.
• Final examinations will take place Monday, April 29-Friday, May 3.
• Graduate candidates’ grades are due online by 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 1. All other Spring-semester grades are due online by 10 a.m., Monday, May 6.
• Wednesday, May 1, is the deadline for non-reappointment notices for probationary faculty with two or more years of service.
• The UM board of trustees will meet Friday, May 3, at 1:45 p.m., in the Merrill Room, Reynolds Hall. Board of trustees meetings are open to the public and all interested individuals are welcome to attend.
