B.F.A. Art Exhibition

The work of students Nicholette Perkins and Sara Stockley will be on display.

Dance Performance
Wednesday, Nov. 19 • 7 p.m. • Palmer Auditorium • Info: Kinesiology, Ext. 6590 • Cost: $2
Orchesis and the dance students from the Department of Kinesiology will perform. Dances include original choreography in both modern dance and ballet, with music by Tchaikovsky, Gershwin, Coldplay and more.

UM Theatre Performance

Handel’s Messiah

A 100-voice chorus featuring members of the University Concert Choir, University Chorus, University Chamber Singers and the Montevallo Chorale will perform Handel’s Messiah. Soloists include UM faculty members Melanie Williams, Roderick George and Charles Wood, as well as UM alumna Glinda Blackshear, a faculty member at Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa. Robert Wright, professor of music and director of choral activities at UM, will conduct the performance. Complete information appears on the features page.

Musical Theatre Showcase

A musical theatre showcase containing a range of songs from musicals in different periods and styles will be presented. Carl Dean will serve as the guest choreographer/director and Laurie Middaugh as the musical director. Performers include students in the directing III class.

Late-Night Breakfast
Sunday, Dec. 7 • 9 p.m.-midnight • Anna Irvin Dining Hall • Info: Melvin Milton, Ext. 6565
The Late-Night Breakfast will take place. In addition to providing a hot meal and a break from studying for finals, this semester’s breakfast will include an oxygen bar and massage chairs. Faculty and staff volunteers are needed to make this event a success.
