Members of the faculty should assemble for the Founders’ Day convocation Thursday, Oct. 9, by 10:45 a.m., in academic regalia and proper order on Main Quad. New faculty members should contact their department chair or Scott Peterson, the grand marshal, for further details. Faculty are asked to request all December 2008, May 2009 and August 2009 graduates to attend the Founders’ Day convocation in order to participate in the “Robing of the Seniors” ceremony during the convocation. Please announce to your students that all classes scheduled to meet from 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. and 12:30-1:45 p.m. will not meet. Also, please allow participating seniors to leave 9:30 a.m. classes a few minutes early in order to assemble on the Quad by 10:30 a.m.
