Rosa Maria Stoops’ (English and Foreign Languages) article “Sacred Geometry and Alchemic Process in Miguel de Cervantes’ Las dos doncellas” has been accepted for publication by the Bulletin of Hispanic Studies. Edited in one of the leading British University departments of Hispanic studies and supported by a distinguished international editorial committee, the Bulletin of Hispanic Studies is the foremost journal published in Britain devoted to the languages, literatures and civilizations of Spain, Portugal and Latin America. It is recognized around the world as one of the front-ranking journals in the field of Hispanic scholarship.

Kathy King, English and Foreign Languages and advisor to the VPAA on academic initiatives, will teach a class at Notre Dame Thursday, Oct. 15, and the next day will present a paper, “Eliza Haywood at the Sign of Fame; or, The Possibilities of Political Biography,” to the Women and Gender Studies Workshop. The talk is taken from her book in progress, Eliza Haywood: A Political Biography, under contract to Pickering and Chatto.
