Classes scheduled for 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, are cancelled to allow faculty and seniors to attend the Founders’ Day convocation.
A legal issues workshop for Academic Affairs administrators will take place Friday, Oct. 9, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., at a location to be announced.
Faculty senate will meet Friday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m., in Wills Hall 200.
There will be a deans’ council meeting Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 3:30 p.m., in the Calkins Hall boardroom.
Administrative council will meet Thursday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m., in Ramsay Hall, room 106.
Friday, Oct. 16, will be the last day for deans to make changes to the draft of the Spring-semester schedule.
An academic summit is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 16, from 3-5 p.m., at the John W. Stewart Student Retreat.
Faculty senate subcommittee meetings will take place Friday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m., at locations to be announced.
There will be a QEP meeting Friday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m., at a location to be announced.
Mid-semester week begins Monday, Oct. 19.
The spring schedule will be available online Tuesday, Oct. 20.
Advisor copies of the spring schedule will be distributed to departments Tuesday, Oct. 20.
A retirement counselor from the Teachers’ Retirement System will be on campus Tuesday, March 2, 2010, in Carmichael Library. This service is for employees planning to retire within the next three years. It is necessary to have a pre-arranged appointment to talk with the counselor. Interested individuals should visit www.rsa-al.gov/Ret%20Planning/trs-appts.html for instructions on how to request an appointment. Counseling appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis and the event is open to all TRS members in our community. Plan early to make sure you get an appointment. Additional information is also available through the Field Services Division at the Retirement Systems of Alabama (1-877-517-0020).
