Art Exhibition

Flowered Over by Anna Kell will be on exhibition. There will be an artist lecture on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 4 p.m., in the Merchants and Planters Bank Auditorium in Comer Hall, followed by a closing reception at 5 p.m. in Bloch Hall Gallery.

Faculty Recital

Roderick George, tenor, and Cynthia MacCrae, piano, will present a faculty recital.

Brazilian Film Series
Monday, Oct. 8 • 6 p.m. • Merchants and Planters Bank Auditorium in Comer Hall • Info: English and Foreign Languages, Ext. 6420
Quem matou Pixote? (Who Killed Pixote?) will be presented. A 1996 biography/drama, the film is shown in Brazilian Portuguese with English subtitles. Runtime: 116 minutes. Not rated. At the conclusion of the film, Fulbright Scholar-In-Residence, Professor Marli Rosa, will lead a discussion about the film and its relation to Brazilian culture.
