Entering Freshmen
Two songs of contrasting style from traditional classical vocal repertoire (see below for suggested typical literature).
One song in a foreign language is acceptable but is not required.
No recorded accompaniments or contemporary Christian literature is allowed.
A third selection from a Broadway musical may be added.
Transfer Students
Same as above except one selection should be in a foreign language.
Typical Literature
Any art song by Schubert, Schumann, Brahms or their contemporaries
A selection from 17th or 18th Century Italian Songs and Arias
Any selection from 56 Songs You Like to Sing, The First Book of Soprano/Alto/Tenor/Baritone-Bass Solos by Joan Boytim, or a similar anthology
