Chair placement auditions for Jazz Ensemble will take place on the following dates:

     Tuesday, September 1, 3:30-5:00 pm: All members

All Jazz Ensemble auditions will take place in room 136 , and will consist of the following:

• All Major Scales and Arpeggios
• Prepared Excerpts
• Sight Reading

Prepared excerpts for the Jazz Ensemble auditions may be downloaded by clicking on the links below.

Rhythm Section Players:

    Piano - play the excerpt comping in left hand and melody in right.

    Guitar - play the excerpt as is. You may be asked to play chords alone.

    Bass - Play a bass line for the excerpt.

    Drums-Sight-reading only.

*You may be asked to perform these with an accompaniment track during the audition.
