Betty Louise Lumby

Dr. Lumby earned her DSM at Union Theological Seminary and holds the prestigious certification of Fellow of the American Guild of Organists (FAGO).   As Professor of Music, she continues teaching Organ and Harpsichord, as well as related subjects.   She also functions as University Organist for all campus convocations in Palmer Auditorium, and presents annual faculty concerts.   In addition, she is Titular Organist for St. Bernard Abbey, Cullman, Alabama, playing Sunday services and special festivals.   She has been a U.S. Fulbright Scholar to Western Germany, and has held state, regional and national positions with the American Guild of Organists.   Her biography has been included in 16 national and international Who's Whos, as well as the recent inclusion in the forthcoming Who's Who of American Women, 23 rd Edition, 2002-2003.   She continues to compose as opportunity permits.
