Goals and Objectives:

1. To expose the music education student to a wide variety of Clarinet/saxophone Ensemble literature.

2. To increase musical knowledge and skills through rehearsals and performances.

3. To allow the non-major to seek performance opportunities within the department.

4. To serve as a recruiting tool for the University Music Department.

Attendance policy:

It is imperative that rehearsal and concert attendance be of highest priority. Each student must be at every rehearsal. No absences with exception of illness or death in the family will be allowed.

Grading:

Grading will be determined on attendance and class participation and preparation. Minimum requirements:

A - no-more than 1 absences
B - no more that 2 absences
C - no more that 3 absences.

Missing a performance constitutes an automatic “F” except in dire emergency

Textbook/Supplies:

Music will be supplied by the instructor.
