 Mrs.
Christina Cochran has taught
Piano and Percussion Lessons for the University of Montevallo
Community School of Music since 2008. Mrs. Cochran graduated
from the University of Alabama in 2002 with a BS in Music
Education and Percussion. While at Alabama, Mrs. Cochran was
Section Leader in the Million Dollar Band as well as a member of
the University of Alabama Wind Ensemble. She spent two summers
as a counselor for Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, with her final
summer traveling in Europe with their touring band.
After
graduation, Mrs. Cochran worked as a Music Educator in Georgia
and Alabama for four years.
Upon receiving her Masters in Counseling, Mrs. Cochran began
work as a school counselor. Currently she works for Shelby
County school system.
Mrs. Cochran
credits her amazing piano teacher, Mrs. Phyllis Wynn, with
instilling a lifetime love of music within her! She hopes to
pass on what Mrs. Wynn gave her students, no matter if they
decide to pursue music as career or otherwise.
