The Anagama Kilncast was a live video Webcast of the firing of Montevallo's anagama kiln.
Mass Comm students and faculty produced four live hours during the two-week firing process.

Fun Facts:

-“Fat Bastard” was built by Meyer with his students at the University of Montevallo.

-Finished Spring ’02, this is its 10th firing.

-Peter Callas fired its maiden voyage.

-The Fat Bastard consumes between 12 and 14 cords of wood in the 100 hour firing.

-Artists with Meyer who have fired work in the kiln include:Peter Callas, Scott Bennett, Chris Greenman, Rick Hirsch, Gunnar Kaldewey, Janet Mansfield, Larry Manning, Richard Notkin and Tony Wright.
