Certain Malone Center facilities are available to the faculty and staff of
the University of Montevallo through reservation. The highest priority for
use of these facilities is to support innovative teaching and learning and
technology-enhanced activities. To allow equitable access, most of these
facilities may not be reserved as the regularly-scheduled meeting place for
classes. Instead, reservations will be accepted for periodic uses that
require such facilities.
The individual indicated as
the “Responsible Party” on the Facilities Request Form assumes
responsibility, during the reservation period, to protect equipment from
theft, loss, or damage and to secure the room upon departure. Financial
liability for the loss or damage of equipment or facilities due to
negligence rests fully with the responsible party. The Director of the
Malone Center and the Dean of the College of Education will make the final
determination of negligence and associated repair or replacement cost.
