Paul Barnes, Technology Coordinator, Upward Boundd

We wish to extend a very special and sincere thanks to Paul Barnes, Technology Coordinator for UM’s Upward Bound Program, for his exemplary service to the campus community. Last year, Mr. Barnes developed and taught a series of Microsoft Office workshops for Office Support Personnel (OSP). Participants expressed much appreciation and offered rave reviews. Thanks Paul!

2011 mini workshops for faculty
The Office of Faculty Development & Collaboration and the Malone Center announce five new mini workshops for the 2011 spring semester. These peer-led workshops are available to all faculty members interested in using technology to enhance teaching and actively engage students. All workshops are "hands-on" and conducted by UM's most innovative and technology-savvy faculty members. View workshop schedule (pdf).

the connected classroom
Through recent grant funding, the Malone Center will offer assistance on using Skype video calling to faculty members from across campus during 2011-2012.
