How do I find a call number in the stacks?
To locate an item on the shelves
in the library, look up the
call number for that item in the
Library
Catalog.
When
looking up the call number, be sure to do the following
Write down the Location, Collection, and Call No.
Look at the box marked Status to determine if the item is 'checked in', 'checked out' or 'missing'.
All items in the library are arranged by the call number within each collection. The call numbers are alphabetic and numeric.
To find an item with this call number do the

Follow the signs on the ends of the shelves to guide you to the correct location - PS
Within the PS section, locate the number - PS 3561
Locate the letters and numbers after the decimal point - .I496 P54 1993
