Fines and Lost Materials Charges

 

• Fines are NOT charged to faculty, but all borrowers must pay for lost or damaged materials.

• Fine rates:

• Circulating materials -- $.10 per day, up to a maximum of $10 per item, with a one-day grace period.

• Reserves -- $.25 per hour, up to a maximum of $10 per item.

• Fines do not accrue when the library is closed for holidays and other official breaks.  Hourly fines will continue to accrue overnight for reserve materials.

• The library will place a hold on a student’s account when fines and lost book charges exceed $25.

• Lost book charges – replacement cost + $10 processing fee.  See the Collection Development policy for additional information.

• Charges for repairs to damaged materials will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and will include a $10 processing fee.
