Teacher Preparation Course Requirements
 

The Teacher Education Program offers a Traditional M.Ed., as well as an Alternative Fifth Year Program leading to the M.Ed. (AFY). The curriculum satisfies requirements for Alabama Class A certification at the graduate level.

Individuals seeking undergraduate Class B certification in Physical Education will be required to complete 130 hours which will include the General Education Requirements as well as the following core courses:

The Teacher Education Program (TEP) has been approved by the Alabama State Department of Education. The program is also certified by the National Council of Accreditation for Teacher Education (NCATE). Click here for descriptions of KNES classes as listed in the Undergraduate Bulletin
