Alabama's Public Liberal Arts University

Instructions for Enrollment Through
STI Professional Development Program

To register for a workshop/session, you must log on to the ALSDE STI Professional Development program.  We have provided the following link for your convenience:    https://pdweb.alsde.edu

You are already registered with STI-PD if you were a State of Alabama teacher in 2007/2008 or later.  All teachers were entered into STI-PD using their personal information to create their user names and passwords.  If you have difficulty logging on to STI-PD, please contact your school/system PD Coordinator.

Note: Once logged on to STI PD, please update your profile with current contact information, especially your email address, so that you will receive email confirmations/updates on sessions for which you register.

Once you have updated your profile, please click on the PD Titles tab.  Next, you should click on the Search the PD Title Catalogue tab.  Once you access that screen, on the right side of the page there is a prompt for you to enter the PD Title Number.  In that area, please type umins10 if you are searching for an In-Service Center workshop.  Once you click on Search Now, this will bring up all sessions that UM currently has offered.  To register for a session, you will need to click List under the PD Title for which you wish to register.  This will allow you to view all workshop sessions available under that particular title.  You can Enroll Now at this point for your selected session.  To search for AMSTI workshops, please refer to the list of AMSTI PD Title Numbers provided at Summer Institute.

After you have attended a workshop/session for which you registered through STI-PD, you should complete the on-line evaluation.  To access this evaluation in STI-PD, from your Home page go to My History.  Once you access My History, there will be a link to Submit Evaluation.  You should complete and submit that evaluation to finalize the workshop/session and receive your professional development hours.  You can print your My History as documentation of the professional development for which you have registered through STI-PD.

If your user name and/or password are not working, you will need to seek help from your school's principal or PD coordinator.  We cannot help with user names or passwords.  However, if you have difficulty locating or registering for a session, please contact the Regional In-Service Education Center.   If you were not a teacher at a State of Alabama school last year, your principal or PD coordinator will need to build your profile for you.  If you are a teacher with a private school, please call the Regional In-Service Education Center at (205) 358-8543.
