Hanson Hall has a beautifully furnished parlor on the first floor where residents may visit and entertain guests. There is also a sundeck with lounge furniture for sunny day relaxation. Each room has a sink for added convenience. Approximately 170 women occupy the 90 rooms in this three-story residence hall.

Built in the "Roaring Twenties," Hanson Hall is named in honor or Wenona White Hanson, the wife of Birmingham News publisher Victor H. Hanson, whose substantial contributions enabled Alabama College to construct Hanson Hall.    Hanson was totally renovated in the Summer 0f 2008.

Hanson is the home of upperclassmen women and the women of Delta Gamma sorority.
