Graduates are recognized in the following ways:
Upon
successful completion of 18 Honors Credit
hours taken during the freshman and sophomore
years, the student will be awarded the
Sophomore Honors Certificate. This award will
be presented on Founders Day of their junior
year. The student's official transcript is
marked with "Sophomore Honors Certificate
Awarded". An explanation of this
distinction is printed on the transcript.
The
successful completion of an additional 8
credit hours taken during the junior and
senior years, including the Golson Seminar,
will lead to graduating with University
Honors. The Honors graduate's official
transcript is marked with "University
Honors". An explanation of this
distinction is printed on the transcript.
The name of the Honors
graduate appears separately in the
commencement bulletin.
Transfer
students, or those entering into the program
after the freshman year, upon the successful
completion of 8 credit hours will be awarded
the Upper Division Honors Certificate.
