Hazing

Hazing is a fundamental violation of human dignity. UM has a strong, zero tolerance policy regarding hazing for all student organizations. Hazing is forbidden in all Greek organization at UM. Hazing, or any activity that subjects members to harassment, intimidation, physical exhaustion, or mental distress is entirely contrary to the founding principles of the Greek community and the University of Montevallo. All members of the University community share the responsibility to challenge and make known to the University, Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, or Black Greek Council, any acts that appear to be hazing.
