The sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta have been a
part of the University of Montevallo Greek community since 1972. Alpha Gamma
Delta is an international fraternity for women existing to provide opportunities
for personal development through the spirit of sisterhood. The opportunities
that Alpha Gamma Delta offers are endless, but most importantly, we offer
support and guidance that every college girl needs. It is a place where you can
be yourself, and have everyone love you for it.
Alpha Gamma Delta has a special place in their heart for Philanthropy. We are
the only sorority that has our own foundation, which is the Alpha Gamma Delta
Foundation. Not only does our foundation benefit juvenile diabetes, but it also
serves as a scholarship for sisters in need. Each year we hold two successful
philanthropy events. The event we hold in the fall is called Lip Jam. It is a
lip synching and dancing competition in which all of the fraternities and
sororities compete. We always raise close to $1,000 with this event because it
is so well known around campus, and everyone enjoys attending. During the
spring, we hold a pageant entitled, "He's A Lady." This event raises close to
$600, and it is also a fun event that everyone on campus enjoys.

in all, we love our philanthropy and have a wonderful time raising money and
awareness!
