·         Graduate Record Examination (GRE), Miller Analogies Test (MAT), or GMAT (for MBA students) scores sent

·         Submit a letter of professional intent, including a statement of career goals

·         Submit three letters of recommendation covering academic ability, personal qualities, and professional qualifications

Please do not resend transcripts or test scores if the Office of Graduate Studies has already received those items for admissions purposes.

Letters of recommendation and a letter of professional intent should accompany the application, and should be submitted in a completed packet to Graduate Admissions and Records for consideration.

Application Deadline:
July 1

The Graduate Honors Scholarship is awarded each Fall.  Students may choose to use the award for fall and/or spring semesters.

Note: In order to be eligible for consideration, each student must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, and a minimum of 1100/old format or 302/new format on the verbal and quantitative portions of the GRE, a minimum of 407 on the MAT, or a 550 on the GMAT (for MBA students).

Please note that the selection of scholarship recipients and amount of the award is made in each department and is based upon scholarship money available to that department.  A student who meets all scholarship requirements is not guaranteed an award and receiving the scholarship one semester does not guarantee an award for future semesters.

Only students who have been admitted to a graduate program may be considered for the scholarship.

All students applying for the GHS for the first time must meet the above requirements and complete this application. Only completed application packets will be processed.

Renewal requests are no longer required for students currently enrolled in graduate courses as completed scholarship packets are processed and sent to department chairs for review each semester.  However, students who change programs or plan to apply to another program after graduation should reapply for the scholarship.

Please mail completed packets to:
