Students need both
positive learning opportunities and college experiences, and this
belief is why Jim and Carol Ann Methvin regularly pledge to support
the University of Montevallo.
The Methvins, who graduated in 1973,
feel that their time and experiences at UM will always be a part of
their lives. They have appreciated the university’s lasting impact
it has had on their lives—from the practical life skills they
received to the fond memories they will always keep.
So other students may have enjoyable
college experiences, the Methvins feel that financial support of the
UM Foundation is a major way to have an impact.
“Alumni have the opportunity to let
their enthusiasm for Montevallo become gifts that can positively
impact today’s students,” the Methvins said. “We can truly say that
our gifts to the Foundation, over the years, have benefited all
students; and in turn, our gifts have contributed to the unique
sense of affection that all alumni have for the University of
Montevallo.”
Recently, the Methvins watched with
pride as their daughter graduated from Montevallo.
“It was a unique opportunity, for us,
to observe her thorough education and fun college experiences that
we, ourselves, similarly had many years ago,” the Methvins said.
For UM to keep providing excellence in
education and memorable college experiences, it needs the support of
fellow alumni.
“Our education and college experiences
at the University of Montevallo will forever be an integral part of
our lives,” the Methvins said. |
