Bobby Joe
Jackson ’89 credits Montevallo with having prepared him to live and
work with diverse groups of people.
He says that
classroom instruction gave him the knowledge he needs to do his job,
as well as the confidence and communication skills that he needs to
be effective. Being a project coordinator for Washington Group
International means that his ability to see and communicate the
picture is especially important.
As the parent of
a recent UM graduate, Bobby Joe has had the opportunity to reminisce
with his daughter about his experiences as a Montevallo student.
Because of the benefits they both received, he feels that investing
in their Alma Mater is the best way to be sure future students have
access to scholarships, excellent faculty, and state of the art
technology.
Bobby Joe was a
Montevallo athlete and he still enjoys seeing the men’s basketball
team play. He knows that all students need to be well rounded and
that’s a feature Montevallo offers. He wants today’s students to
know that he cares about their future and believes that gifts from
alumni can catapult students into the future beyond any expectation
they may have. |
