Opportunities in France
UM students in the French program have unique
opportunities for study abroad. They can
choose from the following options:
Study Abroad in Paris with a UM professor

The Department of Foreign Language currently
offers a six credit hour summer program in
Paris (FRN 250), France. This program offers
students an opportunity to perfect language
skills and immerse themselves in Francophone

Study Abroad in
Aix-en-Provence through IAU
 |
UM has an affiliation with the Institute for
American Universities (IAU), which allows
students to easily transfer foreign credit
hours. Students can choose to study in
Aix-en-Provence for a semester or an academic year.
They enroll in courses taught by French
professors and they live with local host
families. Students for this program travel

France. It is located in the region of
Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, in the
département of Bouches-du-Rhône.
Aix-en-Provence is often referred to as
the city of a thousand fountains.
