UM students in the French program have unique opportunities for study abroad.  They can choose from the following options:

Study Abroad in Avignon through IAU

UM has an affiliation with the Institute for American Universities (IAU), which allows students to easily transfer foreign credit hours.  Students can choose to study in Avignon for a semester or an academic year.  They enroll in courses taught by French professors and they live with local host families.  Students for this program travel individually.  For more information click here.

Study Abroad in Avignon with a UM professor

The Department of Foreign Language currently offers a six credit hour summer program in Avignon, France.  This program offers students an opportunity to perfect language skills and immerse themselves in Francophone culture.  For more information click here.
