Stacey's dissertation, The Acquisition of Verb Forms Through Song, focuses on implementing songs in her French classes as a pedagogical aid in acquiring grammatical structures.  In 2005, Dr. Stacey Beth-Mackowiak Ayotte arrived at UM.  She specializes in Second Language Acquisition and Pedagogy, and her research interests include the use of technology in the foreign language classroom.
