The Department of Foreign Languages organizes these activities on a yearly basis.
International Week International Film Series

International Week started in 2004, and it is held once a year. Honor Society Initiations, the Annual Open House, International Food Fair, and cultural activities are part of the regular activities.

It has become a tradition for the Department since Fall 2002 to show an "International Film Series" every semester.


FL majors are recognized on a yearly basis for the following achievements:
Jensen Award Senior Elite
The Jensen Award is given to honor a foreign language student who demonstrates exceptional skill in conversing in a second language.  This is determined by a panel of judges at the annual impromptu speech contest held during International Week. Based on their academic achievement, FL majors are able to be recognized as a Senior Elite each academic year.
