The Alumni Art Auction is our major fundraising event to benefit the Department. Organized by the Art Alumni Board since 1996, it takes place annually on Homecoming Saturday in mid-February and features over 100 donated works in all media by art alums, faculty and current students.
The show is on display Friday and Saturday and the silent bidding concludes during the Bloch Party reception, an event that is anything but silent! Proceeds from the auction are used to fund equipment and special projects for the benefit of our current students.
Invitations to participate in the auction are mailed each year to art alums; please let us know if we need to add you to our list or if you wish to help with the event or join our Alumni Board.
Call for Donations
The 18th Annual Alumni Art Auction will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2014, and it cannot happen without your work! Please consider donating your artwork, any size and any media, or any art related objects or services, such as frames, books, T-shirts, design work, or a photo shoot.
Works should be ready for display; framed or matted for 2D pieces, gallery pedestals will be provided for 3D pieces. Please deliver or ship work to arrive by Wednesday, February 6. We will be installing the show that evening at 5:00 p.m. and we will be happy to leave room for later arrivals if you let us know.
