T&L Fall Forum
The first T&L Forum was held Oct 24, 2013 from 3:30-5:30 in Carmichael Library. T&L? That’s teachers learning from other teachers.The idea was to encourage conversation, information exchange, and collegiality. The event was a bit like a poster session with presenters sitting at roundtables and attendees roaming from table to table as their interests moved them.
Topics included Skype, clickers, Smartboards, living portfolios, innovative interdisciplinary pedagogies, Reacting to the Past and other game-based learning pedagogies, online learning, badges (as replacements for grades), self-guided learning, and more. The presenters included recent UM teaching grant award recipients from all four colleges.
