BACHE Cultural Passport

To encourage students to take advantage of the rich array of cultural experiences available in the Birmingham area, BACHE has developed the Cultural Passport program for first-year students. The cultural passport entitles UM students to admission at no cost to eleven cultural venues: Alabama Ballet, Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame and Museum, Alabama Symphony Orchestra, American Village, Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, Birmingham Museum of Art, Karl C. Harrison Museum of George Washington, Sloss Furnaces, Tuscaloosa Museum of Art, Vulcan Park and Museum.

Passports are issued to all first-year students at the beginning of the academic year.

BACHE is the Birmingham Consortium for Higher Education, a partnership among the five four-year colleges and universities in the greater Birmingham area: Birmingham-Southern College, Miles College, Samford University, The University of Alabama at Birmingham, and University of Montevallo.
