Scholarship
Application Checklist
Please use these
instructions to assist you in completing the
Scholarship Application Form to establish
your eligibility for all applicable
scholarships.

Complete the process for
admission to the University of Montevallo.
Contact UM Admission, Station #6030,
Montevallo, AL 35115, 1-800-292-4349 or click
on Admissions Office on the Quicklist
and click on Application for Admissions Online
.

If you are applying for a
scholarship that requires verification of
financial need, request a financial aid form (FASFA)
from your school counselor or from
www.FAFSA.ed.gov as soon as possible.
Complete and forward to the address noted on
the form as soon as possible.
NOTE: The Scholarship
Committee must be able to access the exact
amount of money you need on March 31 if you
are applying for the Comer Scholarship or
April 4th if you are applying for the other
family and consumer sciences scholarships.

Complete the Family and
Consumer Sciences Scholarship Application
Form. Be sure you, your parent or guardian
certify the accuracy of the financial
information provided.

For incoming FCS students
only, request that two letters
of recommendation from a teacher, your
principal, counselor, minister, or an adult
family friend, be sent directly to the Scholarship
Committee at the address noted in # 6 below.
These must be available by April 4 for the
Comer Scholarship & April 15 for all other
scholarships.

The Comer Scholarship
applicants only, complete the Authorization
Form and include with your application.

Forward the completed and
signed application by April 4th for the
COMER SCHOLARSHIP and April 15, 2008
for all other scholarships to:

Applications must be postmarked by
April, 2008 for the Comer Scholarship or
April 15, 2008
for other
scholarships. Applications sent via fax
or e-mail will not be accepted.
