Call to Order: Meeting called to order at 2:03 p.m.
Members Present: Stephanie Puleo, Harry Hamilton, Alan May in for Kathy Lowe, Kristin Gilbert, Michelle Duran-McLure, Elizabeth Thrower, Houston Byrd, Jill Wicknick, Sherry Ford
Approval of previous meeting’s minutes: Senator Thrower moved to accept. Senator Byrd seconded. Motion passed.
President’s Report:
§ Board of Trustees (BOT) meeting set for Feb. 16th. Senators will host a pre-meeting social. Senators please arrive at 1:30.
§ Pres. Puleo volunteered to serve on Provost Search Committee.
§ Merrill Lynch representative Lee Applebaum has offered to do seminar on identity theft. Senate believes there would not be sufficient faculty interest.
Sub-Committee Reports:
§ Budget Committee (Sen. Hamilton): has not met since last senate meeting.
§ Investigating what “Instruction AC” item is on the COE budget.
§ Sen. Thrower moved that a finished version of the budget should be distributed to faculty as whole and filed in library on yearly basis. Sen. Hamilton seconded. Motion passed.
§ Committee on Committees (Sen. Wicknick): meets today. Will divide committees among three members to write charges, determine committee make-up, etc. Will then discuss overall structure.
§ Bylaws Committee (Sen. Gilbert): reported that work continues with bylaws. Committee meets on Fridays that Senate does not.
§ Constitution Committee (Sen. Duran-McLure): met to work on plan to separate from bylaws. Committee will meet on Fridays that Senate does not meet. Will offer document to Senate at March 2nd meeting.
§ All committees will forward proposals to Senate members prior to March 2nd Senate meeting. All will be discussed at March 2nd meeting.
§ Pres. Puleo will work on scheduling Town Hall for all faculty members. April 11th is the last full Faculty meeting of this academic year. Current plan is that resolution will go to BOT in May with remainder of packet prepared for August BOT meeting.

§ CASE Professor: nominee selection needed soon. Two nominees so far (Harry Hamilton and Terry Roberson). Pres. Puleo will distribute documentation on each nominee prior to Faculty Senate’s selection decision.
