English Programs and Courses

The Department of English offers an undergraduate major in English and a minor in English. The department also offers a Master of Arts in English.  The undergraduate and graduate bulletins, linked above, provide details of program requirements.  The undergraduate bulletin also provides a list of courses offered by the department. The department also administers the university's Writing Across the Curriculum Program.  Before graduation, every student must complete four courses (12 credit hours) designated as writing intensive (WR). For a list of courses currently approved to meet the requirement, check the inside front page of the latest course offerings (issued every Fall, Spring, and Summer).
