Our Mission

Welcome! The Division of Academic Affairs is the University's largest and most diverse unit. Our mission is to provide the highest quality academic programs in the arts and sciences and in selected professions, undergraduate and graduate. The Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs—in concert with professional staff, faculty leaders, and the faculty as a whole—is responsible for promoting academic excellence on campus; however, we also collaborate with other units on campus, such as the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, to support the fullest and most meaningful development of our students. It is our aim to be true to the University of Montevallo's mission as Alabama's designated public liberal arts university.
