What is Service-Now?
Service-Now, or SNOW, is the new online tool that Technology Services will be
using to manage trouble tickets and requests from UM students, faculty and
staff.
Is Service-Now replacing the Help Desk?
No. The Technology Services Help Desk will continue to operate as before.
Do I have to use Service-Now to put in a request to
Technology Services?
No, you can continue to call or email the Technology Services Help Desk to
receive immediate assistance for issues, or to have tickets created on your
behalf. In fact, all urgent or time-sensitive issues should be called in
directly to the Help Desk.
What can I do in Service-Now?
UM students, faculty and staff can login to Service-Now to create, update or
just view their own tickets and requests.
Can Macs access Service-Now?
Yes, Service-Now is fully compatible with Macintosh computers.
Which web browsers work with Service-Now?
Can I access Service-Now with my mobile device?
Service-Now has a mobile version that is compatible with a number of mobile
devices, such as the Apple iPhone, Google's Android, devices running Windows
Mobile (6.1 and up) and Blackberries (4.6.0 and up).
