Help Desk

 

Scope of Support

The purpose of the Help Desk is to provide ready access to information and assistance for University-owned desktop and network hardware and software authorized by the University of Montevallo.  This assistance includes support for network connectivity, Macintosh and Windows operating systems, and the Microsoft Office productivity software suites for PC and Mac users.

Limited assistance is available for student-owned computers.  Please refer to the Student PC Support page for more information.

The Help Desk is staffed by UM student workers under the direction of Computer Services personnel.
 

Requesting Help

You may request assistance from the Help Desk by using any of the following methods:

  • Come to Morgan Hall, Room 109, Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm
     
  • Call the Help Desk at (205) 665-6520, Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm
     
  • E-mail the Help Desk at helpdesk@montevallo.edu
