Service/Change Request Process

 

  1. The user contacts the Applications Manager via the Service/Change Request Form.
     
  2. The Applications Manager assigns a programmer or the webmaster to the request by forwarding him/her a copy of the request.
     
  3. The user receives a copy of this forwarded message, which is considered notification that the request has been assigned.
     
  4. If necessary, the Applications Team, or several members of it, meet to determine if there are acceptable existing solutions.
     
  5. If the request requires a modification to any PLUS application module or web product, the user must obtain approval from the appropriate Vice President.
     
  6. The Applications Manager may request a re-prioritization of outstanding requests and/or projects if the current request will significantly impact current obligations and/or time estimates.
     
  7. The change is tested first by the programmer or webmaster and then by the user.
     
  8. After the service is placed in production status, the user is notified and asked to complete an assessment.
