Macintosh OS 9
and the New Daylight Saving
Time Law
Synopsis:
Apple has not released a DST patch for OS 9. Users of OS 9 who wish to
make their computers DST-compliant will have to manually change the time on
their computers twice a year.
Procedure:
- Follow these instructions to change the time on your computer:
- Click the Apple menu, then Control Panels, then
Date & Time:

- Uncheck the box that reads Set Daylight Saving Time Automaticslly:

This step is necessary to prevent your computer from observing the old
DST rules. You will only need to do this once.
- Set the correct time:

You will need to perform this step twice a year (when DST begins and
ends).
