Earlier Macintosh Operating Systems
and Java Runtime Environment (JRE)

Synopsis:
Apple has not released DST-compliant JRE updates for any of its operating systems prior to OS 10.3.  Users of earlier versions of the Mac OS may experience unpredictable behavior with applications and websites that utilize JRE.
