Welcome to the University of Montevallo's Department of Communication, which consists of two large, dynamic programs: Communication Studies and, Mass Communication. Formed in 1925, the Department of Communication is one of the oldest college communication programs in the Southeast. The goal of the Department is to provide students with an excellent liberal arts education and prepare them for a wide variety of careers in business, teaching, journalism, television and film.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Reynolds Hall is a historic building that has a number of accessibility challenges. The first floor lobby and offices are accessible from the rear entrances to the building. Communication faculty members are willing to arrange meetings in alternate locations and most classes can be relocated upon request. Individuals unable to physically access the upstairs offices in the rear in Reynolds Hall may call 205-665-6210 for direct departmental assistance. Requests for class relocation based on disability should be brought to the attention of the Disability Support Services Office (205-665-6250 or DSS@montevallo.edu).
