For the past 18 years, Dr. Bentley has both taught in
and worked with P-12 schools, universities, and other
educational agencies to support the development,
implementation, and review of effective programs that
support opportunities to learn for all children. These
experiences occurred in rural, suburban, and urban
environments, providing her with the unique opportunity
to see how students from diverse backgrounds and
communities learn best. Her expertise in educational
policy analysis, curricular reform, and equity audits
support the implementation of school change efforts
targeted at continuous school improvement for each
unique context. Dr. Bentley completed her doctoral work
at Teachers College, Columbia University in Curriculum
and Teaching. She continues to build on the lessons
learned from these combined experiences through
conferencing, researching, and providing professional
development opportunities to teachers and teacher
leaders. |
